About this Workshop

This online workshop is designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your career as a HE professional. The workshop focuses on increasing your self-awareness through reflection and developing professional capabilities. You will learn how to leverage a reflective tool to explore your strengths and areas for development. Additionally, we’ll explore different approaches to career development and strategies to make the most of them.

Why attend?

Proactively increasing your self-awareness can be an effective way to develop your professional capabilities and, in turn, your career. Reflective practice will enable you to grow, both personally and professionally and deliver your organisation’s strategic objectives.

What you will do:

This session will offer a comprehensive guided reflection using the AHEP Professional Framework, considering its relevance to both your current role and potential future roles. You will identify your own strengths and areas for development before exploring a variety of alternative approaches to career development and how to make the most of them. You will leave with a clear understanding of how to apply the Framework to support your career development, gain insights into your strengths and areas to develop and how to meet your development needs.

The workshop will be interactive and engaging, with a mix of presentations and group discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and network with their peers.
