AHEP Blog
The AHEP blog is a space to voice opinion, inform, celebrate and share perspectives of working in higher education administration and management today. Each blog will provide thoughts and ideas from three core outlooks:
Policy, me and my role: what is your opinion or experience of the impact of policy on your role or on HE administration and management more widely? What can others learn from you?
Professional development: knowledge, ideas and tools for furthering a career in higher education and enriching your experience of being a HE professional.
My AHEP: covering everything that AHEP has to offer, brought to you from members who have experienced it first-hand.
If you’d like to write a blog for us, please email us at hello@ahep.ac.uk to express your interest.

To be strong in this behaviour you will seek input from those around you as well as encouraging others to develop their own solutions. The AUA can help you to develop this, as it has plenty […]Delivering excellent service

My colleagues gave me a great send off and I felt incredibly grateful to receive letterbox flowers and additional treats on my last day as I have never […]Managing staff anxiety

Coronavirus: Through the eyes of a postgrad student Kelli Wolfe | University of Roehampton I’m the type of person who always tries to “look on the bright side”, find the “silver linings” or generally embody Pollyanna in all ways. In the current climate, that can be a challenge for us all, especially those not naturally […]Navigating the uncertainty

Navigating the uncertainty | AUA can help The agenda for HE has changed beyond recognition in a few short weeks as the sector, alongside wider society, has responded to the pressing demands of the Coronavirus pandemic. It is probably safe to say that those working in higher education have never experienced times like this and […]
