About the SIG:

The Independent Providers SIG brings together colleagues from independent/private providers of HE. This group is a place to seek/provide support and mentorship for colleagues new to this part of the sector, particularly those transitioning from the state sector.

Purpose:

As the Deputy Coordinator of the Independent Providers SIG, you will be involved in arranging and facilitating key meetings and discussions with regard to the landscape for Independent providers in Higher Education.

Key Responsibilities:

– Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate the exchange of ideas, resources, and best practices among SIG members, contributing to a collective pool of expertise.

– Logistical Support: working with the SIG Lead Coordinators to arrange digital meetups, providing event support and follow up actions

– Community Building: Cultivate a sense of belonging for SIG members, creating a supportive network for those passionate about or working within international HE.

Requirements:

– Experience of working for an Independent Higher Education provider in a leadership or specialist role.

– Strong organisational and leadership skills.

– Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders from a range of organisations and institutions across the globe.

– Excellent and varied communication and advocacy skills

Following the deadline for applications on Monday, 17 March 2025, applications will be reviewed by the AHEP Professional Development Team and Lead Coordinator, Laila Barbe.
