AHEP International HE SIG Lead and Deputy Coordinator(s)

About the SIG:

The International HE SIG is a well established network of over 300 AHEP members.

The Special Interest Group for International Higher Education provides networking and development opportunities for AHEP members with a professional interest in university internationalisation, broadly defined.

Purpose:

The main aim of this SIG is to promote understanding of the global dimensions of UK higher education, and how our roles and responsibilities relate to the broader international developments shaping how our institutions operate.

As a Deputy Coordinator of the International HE SIG, you will be involved in planning, coordination and delivery of SIG activities including international study tours and regular member meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

– Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate the exchange of ideas, resources, and best practices among SIG members, contributing to a collective pool of expertise.

– Global Collaboration: Utilise your connections within HE to organise virtual study tours across the globe which will facilitate meaningful cross-cultural collaboration.

– Logistical Support: working with the SIG Lead Coordinators to arrange national and local digital meetups, providing event support and follow up actions

– Community Building: Cultivate a sense of belonging for SIG members, creating a supportive network for those passionate about or working within international HE.

Location: Remote (with discounted places available at AHEP events such as the AHEP Annual Conference)

– Strong organisational and leadership skills.

– Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders from a range of organisations and institutions across the globe.

– Excellent and varied communication and advocacy skills
