About this session

With so much turbulence in the sector at the moment we are all trying to find new and innovative ways of doing more with less. At Agar we believe that a cultural shift from leaders and managers toward a coaching culture will unleash fresh energy, innovation, and commitment. Whatever the context, a coaching model in which managers give support and guidance rather than instructions, and employees learn how to adapt to constantly changing environments will reap benefits.

We describe this as creating a coaching culture and we each have the opportunity to coach; everyday.

In this session Kate Roberts from the Agar team will explore the power of coaching and the key enablers to create a coaching culture. We will also consider the mindset and critical skills needed to be an ‘Everyday Coach’ and identify how you can establish a culture where coaching conversations are the norm. Kate McNamee (University of Manchester) will share her experiences of creating a coaching culture within her team.

Agar’s strategic ambition is to be a leading name in partnering to develop impactful leadership capability, create world class teams and enable positive cultural change.
