Business Change and readiness: Creating a positive tension 

delivered by Annette Leach (University of Nottingham)

Using the launch of the system implementation of UniCore to replace our HR, Finance and Procurement systems, the session will look at the topic of Business change and readiness to accept the change.

It will focus on understanding key stakeholder groups, recognising their unique priorities and how to create a positive tension to ensure the readiness of each group.

It will discuss the need for shared responsibility and accountability between the project and faculties and departments that will need to accept the change, and how practically this came together during the project to launch UniCore.

– The importance of engagement at all levels of the organisation
– Obtaining nominees for senior accountable leads across faculties and departments
– Equipping them with the detail they need to make local business decisions
– Collecting data on business readiness through a monthly business readiness survey and heatmap
