The AUA is governed by a constitution and a Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees are responsible for leading and executing the overall vision and direction adopted by the Association at the Annual General Meetings.
Trustees are appointed through a nominations process. A specially convened nominations panel, consisting of two Trustees, a senior member of the AUA Team and two representatives from the membership review applications to become a Trustee and make a recommendation to the Board.
Trustees serve for an initial term of three years and can serve for a second term if appointed through the nominations process.
In addition to meeting formally three times a year in February, June and October the Board meets informally at the Annual Conference.
