Networking

Join Andrew Unwin, Vice Principal for St Mary’s College, Durham University and AUA’s Yorkshire and North East network coordinator for all things networking!

This session will consider the networking opportunities available with the AUA, including branch, regional and themed networks, study tours and overseas conferences. The session will also look at some of the challenges and benefits of engaging with networking and will provide participants with tips to consider when networking.

Widening Access, Student Success, and Progress, with a focus on postgraduate taught study

In this session we will aim to explore access to postgraduate study – why it’s important to widen access at this level of study, what that looks like in practical terms and how if at all that differs from widening access at an undergraduate level, what we know already in terms of any barriers or challenges, some practical steps, and suggestions as well as some good practice at the University of Edinburgh and beyond.

Jazz up your day – Happiness and motivation at work

This training will have you adding sparkle and razzle dazzle to your working day. Its focus is happiness and motivation, and we’ll be sharing some useful tips, tools and tactics with you that you can incorporate into your day. So, if you fancy a little sparkle, then this might just be for you. We hope you’ll join us as we polish our hooves and trot off into a rush of practical tips, discussion and fun.
