About this session

The workshop aims to empower professionals with the skills and insights needed to identify and pursue growth opportunities. By focusing on proactive self-development and applying transferable skills, participants will learn how to make meaningful contributions, positioning themselves for advancement within the sector.

This workshop is for higher education professionals who feel stuck in their current roles or are eager to advance to higher-level positions. What you will do:  

Participants will be actively involved through a mix of self-reflective exercises, scenario-based discussions, and group activities. These engagements will encourage attendees to assess their current roles, identify areas for growth, and explore how their skills can be leveraged in new ways. Practical examples and peer-sharing moments will foster collaboration and provide a supportive environment to apply the insights gained directly.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Discover how to take initiative, seek out opportunities for growth, and continuously develop your skills and knowledge.

2. Learn how to identify and showcase your leadership qualities through active involvement in projects, team leadership, and taking on new responsibilities. 

3. Understand how to apply your transferable skills, such as problem-solving, communication, and collaboration, to various roles and responsibilities within higher education.
