About this session
This workshop series has taken place over three online webinar sessions and will equip you with the necessary information, resources, and know-how to improve your approach to writing and updating your CV, doing job interviews and building your personal brand. This is the final event in the series.
Why attend?
To develop your career within Professional Services, people need to know who you are. For people to know who you are, you need to increase your visibility both within your institution- and beyond. Platforms such as LinkedIn provide a ready-made gateway through which to build your professional network. However, randomly inviting large numbers of individuals to connect with you and then simply ‘lurking and liking’ posts is not enough to build your network. You need to take a more strategic approach to both networking and to building your personal brand.
This session will explore how to grow and develop a network which will sustain and nurture your professional development. You’ll also explore how to create, curate and manage your personal brand, increasing your visibility within your institution and sector.
What you will do:
In this 75- minute webinar, delegates will hear from an experienced careers professional who will outline how to build an effective network and increase your visibility. There will be time for questions and to share tips you may have.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Understand how to leverage LinkedIn and other tools to build a strong professional and personal network
2. Explore a range of resources which can help to improve and develop their personal brand.
3. Enhance their professional visibility within their institution and sector.
