What makes Scottish Higher Education stand out from the rest of the UK?

Join us for a ‘Lunch and Learn’ session, brought to you in collaboration with the AHEP Scotland Network, as part of AHEP’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and celebrating the diversity within the sector. This event will provide an overview of Scotland’s contributions to UK Higher Education, focusing on its unique strengths and approaches.

What we’ll cover:

Degree and Graduate Apprenticeship Differences: Explore how Scotland’s approach to apprenticeships and degrees stands apart from other UK nations.
QAA Scotland Differences: Understand the key differences in quality assurance and accreditation processes in Scotland’s HE system.

Why you should attend:

Taster Session: This is a great opportunity to get a snapshot of Scottish HE, with a focus on specific topics that set it apart from other parts of the UK.
Looking Ahead: Stay tuned for future events in this series, where we’ll dive deeper into topics like funding, geographical considerations, and more. If you’re interested in contributing to these discussions, we welcome your input!

This event is ideal for those new to Scottish HE or colleagues from other UK nations looking to expand their knowledge, especially with the 2025 AHEP Conference in Glasgow on the horizon.

We hope you’ll join us to engage, learn, and celebrate the distinctive features of Scottish Higher Education!

We look forward to welcoming you to this event.
