Calling all North Wales and Northwest Members…
Discover Science and Engineering at Manchester Met with an exclusive, walking tour of the state-of-the-art facilities that make Manchester Met a hub for innovation and learning. This event will provide a unique opportunity to explore the cutting-edge spaces where groundbreaking research and student enrichment come to life.
The day will kick off with a welcome at the newly opened Dalton Building, home to the Faculty of Science and Engineering. You’ll get a firsthand look at the modern, collaborative space designed to foster interaction and community among students and staff. You’ll experience how these social and learning environments support academic excellence and enrich the student experience. Following that, you’ll visit the Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Centre, where pioneering research into sustainable energy is shaping the future. The tour continues at PrintCity, a 3D print and additive manufacturing facility where the latest in creative print technology is pushing the boundaries of industry innovation.
Throughout the day, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to network with fellow attendees and peers. And at lunchtime, enjoy a locally sourced, eco-friendly meal from 8th Day Co-op, a beloved local business known for its commitment to sustainability. Lunches will be picked up on the day, with the option to sit outside and explore some of the newly opened Manchester Met public realm or stay in the co-op’s casual dining space (at the mercy of the Northwest weather!). Please fill out the dietary and access form: Access and Dietary Form.
Spaces are limited! Book here to secure your spot.
This event is free of charge for AHEP North Wales and North West members.
