Pete has practiced as a Solicitor in Immigration Law for over 17 years, gaining a profound understanding of the legal and academic frameworks that govern international student education and mobility. His career has seen him hold senior leadership roles within various higher education directorates, where he has navigated the operational and strategic challenges of the entire international student journey—from global recruitment to graduation and beyond.
His approach is proactive, operational and strategic, emphasising the importance of horizon scanning to anticipate and mitigate potential pitfalls for overseas students. Pete advocates for a deep understanding of the law, rules, and frameworks, complemented by strong current affairs and geopolitical knowledge. This holistic view ensures a positive student experience and operational excellence.
A notable contribution to the field is his copyrighted formula, developed in 2013, which reframes UKVI compliance risk management into a collaborative duty of care.
