Marianne Webb brings over 20 years’ experience in communications and leadership development, with a strong track record of supporting people through change. She spent seven years at the University of Manchester in senior roles spanning faculty and central services, including as Head of Corporate Communications and Head of Internal and Change Communications. During this time, she led large teams, supported cross-institutional transformation, and advised senior leaders through high-profile crises, organisational change, and strategic decision-making.
A key strength of Marianne’s work lies in creating clear, purposeful communication that connects people to strategy, building trust, visibility and alignment across large, complex organisations. She has designed and led staff engagement initiatives that support cultural change, strengthen leadership communication, and rebuild confidence during periods of uncertainty.
Now, as an EMCC-accredited Leadership & Development Coach and consultant, Marianne works with universities to build leadership capability, strengthen collaboration, and foster more inclusive, values-led cultures. While at Manchester, she also led work to align leadership development with institutional priorities and improve access to professional coaching.
Marianne’s strength lies in bridging the gap between strategic ambition and day-to-day delivery, helping people see the bigger picture and collaborate effectively across boundaries.
