Jackie Labbe is a lifelong member of the higher education community, with over 30 years of experience spanning academic and senior leadership roles. She spent 15 years as an academic specialising in British Literature before moving into leadership, where she held a range of senior posts including Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor, thematic PVC, and Provost across four diverse institutions, from Russell Group to modern universities, and from large urban campuses to smaller semi-rural settings.

Throughout her career, Jackie has championed the student experience across all levels and modes of study, supported colleagues in both teaching and research, and played a key role in shaping institutional strategy and driving transformation. She brings deep insight into organisational change, academic innovation, and collaborative leadership, with a particular focus on ensuring universities remain resilient, forward-looking, and inclusive. Jackie is passionate about working alongside committed staff and students to help institutions thrive in times of both challenge and opportunity.
